How to Throw a Mardi Gras Party - Eats

Since New Orleans and seafood go hand in hand you may want to serve easy fish tacos at your Mardi Gras Party.  To make them you need just five ingredients - breaded or battered fish fillets, taco shells, coleslaw mix, mayo and powdered taco season mix.  Bake the fish fillets as directed.  Cut each fillet into bite-size pieces.  Heat taco shells in oven as directed on package.  In medium bowl, mix taco seasoning and mayo; stir in coleslaw mix.  Let this mixture stand at least five minutes.  Fill shells with fish pieces and coleslaw mixture.

If you are not a fish taco fan, go with slumbering sea dogs, pigs in the blanket or Southern Fried Chicken.

Consider serving a purple beverage to coordinate with the colors of Mardi Gras - some excellent choices are grape juice, Grape Nehi or blueberry smoothies.
