How to Throw a Mardi Gras Party - Games

An excellent game for this party is a variation of Hot Potato.  It is called "Pass the Baby".  Have your guests sit in a circle, while Mardi Gras music (think Zydeco) is playing.  A baby doll, representing the traditional baby placed inside of the official New Orleans Mardi Gras King Cake, is passed around the circle until the music stops.  The person holding the baby is out. The game continues until one guest ends up with the baby.  He or she will be the winner.

You may also want to organize a limbo contest or have a scavenger hunt with beads and colorful candies hidden throughout the house.
