Mini Chocolate Chip Scones

Surprise your guests with these delicious yet easy, bite-sized scones for a perfectly sweet treat for your tea party. Scones can be made ahead of time and frozen in resealable freezer plastic bags until morning of party.

2 cups Original Bisquick mix
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup whipping (heavy) cream
3 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Additional whipping cream for pre-bake brush
Additional sugar for pre-bake sprinkle

Step One: Heat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray or grease with shortening. Stir Bisquick mix, chocolate chips, whipping cream, 3 tablespoons sugar, the egg and vanilla in medium bowl until soft dough forms.

Step Two: Pat into 4-inch circle on cookie sheet (if dough is sticky, dip fingers in Bisquick mix). Brush circle with additional whipping cream; sprinkle with additional sugar. Cut each circle into 8 wedges, but do not separate.

Step Three: Bake about 6-8 minutes or until golden brown; carefully separate. Serve warm.
