Polka Dot Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

Sliced hot dogs put an extra dose of polka dots in this macaroni and cheese casserole made with round wagon wheel pasta.

7 ounces round wagon wheel pasta
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup green onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 package hot dogs, sliced
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 cup Colby jack cheese, shredded

Cook and drain the pasta per package directions. Saute onion and green peppers until softened. Add garlic powder. Combine the pasta, onion mixture, hot dogs, cottage cheese, and sour cream in a large bowl. Mix well. Pour into a casserole dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
