How to Throw a Tie-Dyed Birthday Party

Kids' Parties with Flair is on hiatus. Today's post is a selection of the best of the blog - How to Throw a Tie-Dyed Birthday Party. The full party plan is here. The main party activity is tie-dyeing t-shirts. Tie-dyeing is not difficult, but it is time consuming. The party plan has complete instructions. Since tie-dyeing will take up most of the party, you will not need to plan many other activities - maybe a round or two of freeze dance to the tunes of The Beatles or the Monkeys and a 60's-themed coloring page (party plan has a link to a free one).

Kid-friendly treats include Submarine Sandwiches and Tang punch (one part Tang to one part 7UP - either regular or diet). For dessert serve Tie-Dyed Party Cake or Tie-Dyed Cupcakes with Tie-Dyed Ice Cream. You can find complete directions for all party details and recipes here.
